OVERVIEW

Euretos Search gives you access to the most extensive knowledge base for disease and drug research. This article overviews how one can locate a (biological) concept of interest in the Euretos Knowledge base.

STEPS

Note

A user action, such as click or enter, is italicized.

A visible item on the platform, such as a [link] or a [button], is in square brackets.

A link to another article or external source is underlined.

1. Enter a search term in the search box
2. Click to open the concept selection tool
3. Select concept category of interest (e.g. [Diseases] or [Genes])

Note

The number in brackets behind each category shows the number of suggested concepts within that category that matches your search term. They are ordered in decreasing relevance.

4. Select desired concept on the right side to open the result page for that concept.

!

We are continuously improving concept recognition in our platform. If you have trouble finding your concept of interest, please try the following:

  • Check your spelling
  • Check whether you might be searching in the wrong category
  • Notify us!

EXAMPLES

ACHE - In the video below, we search for the gene concept 'ACHE' (gene coding for acetylcholinesterase) while we differentiate the search results from the phenotype concept 'ache' (synonym for pain)

CD20 - In the video below, we search for the term 'CD20'; we realize that the preferred name for the gene concept is actually 'MS4A1' and open the result page with all data connections for this gene in the Euretos Knowledge base.
