How to create a set of concepts manually?

OVERVIEW

A set of concepts can be manually created in Sets for analysis on the platform.




STEPS


Note

 A user action, such as click or enter, is italicized.

 A visible item on the platform, such as a [link] or a [button], is in square brackets.

 A link to another article or external source is underlined.


1. Click the [+ Create] button on the [Sets] page: this opens up the [Add set] page where you can add concepts of interest.

This page can also be used to upload sets in csv format.



2. Enter the name, tag, and description for the set.
3. Click on [Select concept] search box under the [Add concepts] tab to find and add concepts (gene, protein, pathway, disease, and much more). Repeat this if you want to add multiple concepts.

4. Type in the concept and select the one from the dropdown list that best matches the concept you want to add. The added concepts are shown in a table below the [Save] button. 


Note

As you type, concepts stored in the Euretos knowledge base that match your input will be generated, select the concept from the list you want to add. Please note that a concept can be shown under another name.


5. Click the [recycle bin] icon next to each concept to delete any concept you want to delete.



6. Click the [Save] button once you finish adding all the concepts. The set is now saved in the [Sets] folder.

You can add and delete concepts any time once the set is saved
