OVERVIEW

Once you have identified your concept(s) of interest in the Euretos Knowledge base, you can filter your results to get the most relevant publications and/or database records.

BACKGROUND

The Euretos knowledge base is an extensive AI-integrated knowledge base containing over 275 life science databases and millions of publications and patents. Once you have identified your concept of interest in the Euretos Knowledge base, additional criteria may apply for you concerning the most relevant publication.

STEPS

Note

A user action, such as click or enter, is italicized.

A visible item on the platform, such as a [link] or a [button], is in square brackets.

A link to another article or external source is underlined.

1. In the Search result screen (see: Finding your concept of interest in the Euretos Knowledge base), the tab [Pubmed] is activated by default.

!

Publications and database records are shown on two different tabs because different filters apply. By default, you will see the publication search results. To go to database results, select tab [Databases].

2. Click on the box [Most recent] to change the ordering of the publications.

Note

[Most relevant] is ordering in decreasing relevancy - based on concept frequency-inverse document frequency (cf-idf). This statistical measure is intended to reflect how important a word is in a collection of documents. The cf-idf value increases proportionally to the number of times a word appears in a document. It is offset by the number of documents in the collection that contain the word.

[Impact factor] is ordering by decreasing the journal's impact factor.

[Cited by] is ordering by decreasing the number of citations of the publication.

3. Click on the box [Abstracts cooccurrence] to filter publications that mention the concepts either in the same sentence [Sentence cooccurrence] or in the title [Title cooccurrence].

Note

A user action, such as click or enter, is italicized.

A visible item on the platform, such as a [link] or a [button], is in square brackets.

A link to another article or external source is underlined.

4. Click on the box [Publication types] if one is interested in particular publications. By default, no selection is made.
5. Click on the box [Experimental systems] if one is interested in a particular experimental system. By default, no selection is made.
6. Enter ranges of impact factors and publication years to narrow your search results.
